I was painting in a sunshine-filed grove of trees by the little cabin where I lived by a stream in Mill Valley, California. The scent of fresh forest filled the air. The size of the canvas and expansiveness, the size of my body, moved me to move with the canvas...
Soon I felt colours emerging through my arms and legs, with every lift of my thigh, spin of the hip, a heart-shaped head rising from a deep molten core, in winged glory connected with all, where all parts dance with the whole ".
